Cavite State University-Main Campus in Indang, Cavite is still in deep sorrow after the loss of a fellow CvSUeño due to a vehicular accident that happened on Monday, January 23, in Saluysoy Resort inside the university campus.
In a statement released by the university's official student publication, The Gazette, University President Hernando D. Robles suspended the final examinations and declared January 25 and 26 as days of mourning in line with the tragic accident.
On Tuesday, the CvSU community changed their profile and cover photos to black - from the administration, colleges, student councils, organizations, and student body.
CvSUeños also initiated candle lighting on the university grounds near the statue of Laya't Diwa, offered their prayer for the life of Elaiza Tesoro, who lost her life in the accident and solemnly sang the CvSU hymn.
Meanwhile, the truck's driver Federico Baculan is now in the custody of the Indang Municipality Police Station.
The families of the victims were always reached out for interviews, however, information regarding their thoughts and the situation of the other victims who are now admitted to General Emilio Aguinaldo Medical Center.
